The Amhara national regional state (ANRS) is the second most populous regional states of Ethiopia. It is one of the ten regions in Ethiopia with the total population of 33, 360,917 (1). Administratively the region is subdivided in to 13 zonal and six city administrations and zones further subdivided into 238 districts and 4,060 (555 urban and 3,505 rural) Kebeles (the smallest administrative unit in Ethiopia)

This data analytics system and use (DASU) initiative is a collaborative project implemented by the Amhara Public Health Institutions (APHI) and University of Manitoba (UofM), by closely working with the Amhara Regional Health Bureau (ARHB), the Federal Ministry of Health (MOH) and Countdown to 2030 for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health (www.countdown2030.org)
